LENOVO: MAKE SPACE

Lenovo, in partnership with DAZED Magazine, brought creativity and AI-powered technology to life during NYFW with the Make Space Launch in NYC. In collaboration with Sounds Fun, Outside Perspective produced immersive event experiences including a Smart Share photobooth powered by Lenovo Yoga laptops, a custom infinity cube structure for The Lenovo Lab’s interactive art workshop, and a high-energy AI-powered runway. Together, we transformed the space into a dynamic platform where technology, art, and culture collided — allowing the creative community to shape the experience in real-time.

BRIEF

Lenovo, in collaboration with DAZED Magazine, set out to highlight the creative potential of AI-powered technology during New York Fashion Week. The initiative aimed to deliver an immersive experience where creatives could interact with Lenovo’s Yoga Aura Edition AI PCs to generate personalized art and content—crafting a culturally relevant moment during one of NYC’s most iconic moments, NYFW. To bring this vision to life, Lenovo teamed up with Sounds Fun and Outside Perspective, to seamlessly blending technology, creativity, music, and culture in the heart of the city.

PROCESS

OVERVIEW
Outside Perspective collaborated with Sounds Fun to design and produce immersive experiences that highlighted Lenovo’s technology. 5 major touchpoints were developed - Smart Share Photo Booth, The Lab, LED Ceiling, The Make Space Entry Way, and an immersive art installation with Yehwan Song.

MAKE SPACE ENTRY WAY
Utilizing custom-designed wheat pasting graphics and custom- programmed Astera tubes, we transformed the blank canvas entry way of the venue into a highly immersive moment. As guests entered, they felt as if they were entering a technology-powered night club– all powered by Lenovo.

SMART SHARE PHOTO MOMENT
The Smart Share photo booth showcased the Yoga Aura Editions capabilities for a phone to capture media and share instantaneously with the laptop via a tap function. Brand Ambassadors took photos of guests and that were then rendered through a custom AI Graphics software and pushed into the immersive LED Photo Booth. Guests were then invited to step into the world they created and have their photos captured by a fashion photographer who pushed the photos instantly to a cloud based gallery where guests could download their photos.

THE LAB
The Lab utilized a custom built touch designer program to create a module on the Laptops for guests to use the touch screen capabilities to modulate the graphics across the LED Ceiling and the ground supported LED throughout the venue.  It provided guests with hands-on experience with the technology and invited them to step into the lab.

YEHWAN SONG INSTALLATION
Yehwan Song is a Korean-born, New York-based multimedia artist and web designer who creates experimental, anti-user-friendly websites that challenge conventional digital aesthetics and interface norms. Yehwan created a multimedia installation utilizing Lenovo Yoga Aura Edition laptops and the newly released Yoga Tablet Plus on a custom fabricated steel structure .

RESULT

The Make Space Launch delivered an unforgettable, tech-driven experience during NYFW. Guests engaged with the Smart Share photobooth, creating AI-generated runway content, while The Lenovo Lab’s interactive cube installation drew crowds who experimented with real-time visual art. With DJ sets from Rebecca Black, DOSS, and haus kat, the event successfully showcased Lenovo’s role in driving AI-powered creativity and left a strong impression on the fashion and creative communities.
